 | Asbestos Surveyor P402 (Permanent - British Resoucing Group)The British Resourcing Group has been exclusively commissioned by one of the Asbestos specialists to recruit a number of Asbestos Surveyor’s of whom will be based all over the UK. The successful candidate will be employed as an Asbestos Surveyor on a variety of residential, commercial and industrial projects.
The duties of the successful applicant will include the following:
- Surveying properties for the presence of asbestos
- Sampling materials suspected of containing asbestos
- Preparing plans of the surveyed properties
- Photographing areas of asbestos within the surveyed properties
- Creating survey reports including plans, photos, registers and recommendations
- Meeting clients and to familiarise them with their survey report
Under the Control of Asbestos at Work Regulations 2002, the person responsible for every non-domestic property in the country must manage the asbestos on their premises. This usually requires the need for some sort of a survey. As there are an estimated 1.5 million non-domestic properties in the country, it is expected that this work will take a good many years.
The successful candidate will travel to site and assist in carrying out the appropriate level of survey in the indicated parts of the building. Applicants will have a current P402 qualification and experience in working professionally with UKAS regulations as well as a clean valid UK driving license.
Surveys are often required in odd parts of buildings such as boiler rooms, roof voids, underground ducts and other enclosed spaces and would not suit any person who suffers from claustrophobia, or is unable to climb ladders.
The position is based on a competitive starting salary and a 40-hour working week. Our client operates a flexi-time scheme, a minimum of 4 weeks paid leave per year and a sick leave scheme as well as a pension scheme.
